Welcome! I’m Javier Parra, a professional photographer, university professor, and creator of this blog where we explore photography beyond the superficial image.
My day-to-day work focuses on fashion photography, a dynamic field that I’m passionate about. However, my interest in photography is much broader, encompassing its rich history and profound conceptual and theoretical currents.
My training is the cornerstone of this space: I hold a degree in publicity from the Universidad Central, a photographer from Uninpahu, and a Master’s degree in Art History from the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. As a teacher, my vocation is to unravel how the image has evolved, its cultural impact, and the ideas that have driven it over time.
This is a space for photography enthusiasts, for those who believe that each image has much to tell. Join me as I look behind the lens: where light, shadow, and ideas intertwine.
